March 2018 Trend of Business Press Release

According to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA)’s monthly Trend of Business Survey, participating cabinet manufacturers reported a decrease in cabinet sales of 1.7% for March 2018 compared to the same month in 2017. Stock sales were down 1.7%; semi-custom sales decreased 2.4%; and custom sales increased slightly at 0.7% compared to March 2017.

According to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA)’s monthly Trend of Business Survey, participating cabinet manufacturers reported an increase in cabinet sales of 1.8% for February 2018 compared to the same month in 2017. Stock sales were up 1.6%; semi-custom sales decreased 0.4%; and custom sales increased 11.3% compared to 2017.

Cabinetry sales for the first month of 2018 are down 3.2 percent compared to the same month in 2017, reported participating members of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) in its monthly Trend of Business Survey. January 2018 saw a significant drop in custom sales at -12.2%; semi-custom sales were up slightly at 1.8%; and stock sales decreased 5% compared to January 2017.

Cabinetry sales for the month of November increased 1.8 percent compared to the same month in 2016, reported participating members of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) in its monthly Trend of Business Survey.  The gain was led by a boost in semi-custom cabinet sales, which grew 3.7 percent in November, compared to the same period last year. Custom sales increased 2.2 percent and stock sales were up 0.1 percent, compared to November 2016.

Cabinetry sales for the month of October increased 3.7 percent compared to the same month in 2016, reported participating members of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) in its monthly Trend of Business Survey. The gain was led by a boost in stock cabinet sales, which grew 5.8 percent in October, compared to the same period last year. Semi-custom sales increased 1 percent and custom sales were up 5.4 percent, compared to October 2016.

KCMA Joins KBIS and IBS for Design & Construction Week® 2018

Founding partners, the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) will continue driving the possibilities of home forward at the co-location of the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show® (KBIS) and the NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS) in Orlando, Florida, January 9-11, 2018. The fifth annual DCW will bring together more than 80,000 design and construction professionals in the largest gathering of the residential design and construction industry.

September 2017 Trend of Business Press Release

Kitchen and bath cabinetry sales slipped 2.2 percent for the month of September, compared to the same month 2016, according the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA)’s monthly Trend of Business member survey.  However, cabinetry sales remained strong year to date, climbing 2.8 percent through September, compared to through September 2016.

Cabinetry sales for the month of August grew 2.5 percent compared to sales in August 2016, reported participating members of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) in its monthly Trend of Business Survey. The gain was led by a boost in stock cabinet sales, which grew 3.8 percent in August, compared to the same period last year. Semi-custom sales increased 1.8 percent and custom sales dipped slightly by 0.2 percent, compared to August 2016.

According to participating members in the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA)’s monthly Trend of Business Survey, cabinetry sales for July 2017 increased 1.8 percent compared to sales for July 2016.  Stock cabinet sales grew 4.5 percent, semi-custom sales increased 0.6 percent, and custom sales decreased 3.4 percent compared to the same period last year.
