Cabinet Sales Increase +20.7% in 2013
Monthly Sales up +24.9% in December 2013
RESTON, VA . . . According to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association’s monthly Trend of Business Survey, participating cabinet manufacturers reported sales totaling $5.6 billion for 2013 up +20.7 percent compared to total sales for 2012. Stock sales were up +26.2 percent; semi-custom sales were up +16.3 percent; and custom sales were up 16.9 percent.
December 2013 monthly sales were up +24.9 percent compared to December 2012. Stock sales were up +30.9 percent; semi-custom sales were up +20.2 percent; custom sales were up. +17.9 percent compared to December 2012.
Survey participants include stock, semi-custom and custom companies whose combined sales represent approximately 70 percent of the fragmented U.S. kitchen cabinet and bath vanity market. KCMA is the major trade association for manufacturers of kitchen cabinets, bath vanities, and key suppliers of goods and services to the industry. All major U.S. cabinet manufacturing companies belong to KCMA. Sixty-three percent of KCMA cabinet manufacturer members report sales under $10 million annually, reflecting the importance of small manufacturers in the industry. KCMA has been compiling and reporting industry sales data for over forty years.
