Monthly Trend of Business
Who wouldn’t want to take the pulse of the cabinet industry each month? KCMA helps you spot the trends – at no charge!
A well-respected barometer of the health of the cabinet industry, the KCMA Monthly Trend of Business Reports are real-time guides in today’s changing marketplace.
Each month, as a KCMA survey participant, you’ll receive vital management information on business trends that provide a benchmark for your company, including:
- A dollar growth comparison of the current month to the same month last year
- A year-to-date sales growth comparison from this year to last year
- A year-to-date growth rate deflated to last year’s dollars
- The average collection period of accounts receivable-DSO
- The number of days in production backlog for most participants
- Averages for each of the above ratios
- Each ratio categorized by type of manufacturer: stock, semi-custom, and custom
- Sales growth charts for month and year-to-date & trailing twelve months.
- Your company’s rank in dollar size compared to the other participants on monthly and year-to-date sales
Participating members account for over 66 percent of the U.S. cabinet market, making the data in the KCMA Monthly Trend of Business Reports extremely reliable and complete.
At no cost, KCMA members can begin to receive the monthly reports by supplying sales figures for the previous year. Subsequently, survey participants submit sales data online by the 15th of every month and access the monthly reports at KCMA’s Members Login portion of the website. All data is collected and analyzed by a third-party consultant. The information is kept confidential and reported only in aggregate. Members can transfer the data to another computer program for more detailed analysis or for financial reporting.
Access to the KCMA Monthly Trend of Business Reports is available to only participating members.
Annual Income & Expense Report

For more than 40 years, KCMA has conducted this annual survey as a member benefit. The KCMA Income and Expense Report is available to only those KCMA members who participate in the survey.
And it’s easy to participate! The study is conducted online in the Spring of each year.
All individual company information is kept confidential and reported only in aggregate. A third-party consultant collects and processes all the data.
KCMA Safety Survey
KCMA dissects a fundamental metric of the cabinet industry – safety performance – and showcases the best practices.
No one disputes the importance of a solid company safety program. KCMA takes the initiative a step further. In its annual Safety Survey, KCMA asks participating cabinet manufacturers about their safety records and details about ongoing safety programs. The product is a constructive report that highlights innovative safety practices throughout the industry – practices you can adopt for your company and numbers you can share with insurance companies.
More than 50 KCMA manufacturing members participated in the latest study. All individual company data is kept confidential and reported only in aggregate. Only KCMA members who participate in the study receive the results.

KCMA’s comprehensive Wage and Labor Study is one of the most respected compensation guides in the industry. Why? Because you, the cabinet manufacturer, provide the data. No filters. No statistical dilution. No guessing. Just solid figures on salaries and benefits drawn directly from KCMA’s membership.
Every other year, KCMA conducts its Wage and Labor Study by surveying member companies about their compensation practices. Members can use the data in contract negotiations and for other personnel functions.
Only those KCMA members who participate in the survey receive a copy of the completed study.
