Grand Rapids, MI (August 24, 2026) – Stiles Machinery has announced a new distribution agreement with Mereen-Johnson, the Minneapolis-based manufacturer of American-made industrial rip saws. This distributorship expands the ripping solutions available to Stiles customers and manufacturers across North America.
For more than a century, Mereen-Johnson has set a high standard for high-production industrial rip saws. The company offers several options including fixed arbor, shifting blade, and short stock models, which are engineered for glue-joint accuracy, maximum lumber yield, and minimal maintenance.
The new Mereen-Johnson 312-DC/SR2 Moving Blade Rip Saw with Tracker optimizing infeed is an advanced industrial multi-blade gang rip saw with two shifting blades and one fixed blade that maximizes lumber yield and processing speed through automated board scanning and precise shifting blade control. The Rip Navigator Tracker is a full line bar optimization system and features a 12-inch arbor capacity and can process up to six 16-foot boards per minute.
The high-capacity, heavy-duty Mereen-Johnson 524-DC/SR4 Moving Blade Rip Saw with Scout optimizing infeed is equipped with four shifting blades and one fixed blade and features a wide 24-inch arbor. Designed for maximum throughput, the Rip Navigator Scout can rip up to ten 16-foot boards per minute. This system is perfect for high-production, multi-shift plants that require fully automated lumber handling and maximum cutting variety at blistering line speeds.
“Collaborating with Mereen-Johnson allows us to offer a broader selection of quality saws to owners looking for reliable performance and durability that fits their shop floor and their budget,” said Chuck Carter, Stiles Senior Product Manager for Solid Wood. “They are an American-made company known for quality and the lowest cost of ownership, and I am confident that this is the beginning of an initiative that will allow both parties to bring more value and efficiency to North American woodworkers.”
Tony Sutton, President of Mereen-Johnson, shares Carter’s sentiments.
“We partnered with Stiles Machinery because they understand our deep commitment to quality and helping manufacturers run their operations smarter,” said Sutton. “This collaboration brings together American-made manufacturing excellence and top-tier service and parts, making it easier than ever for shops to access reliable, high-performance saws that exceed their expectations.”
Every Mereen-Johnson machine purchased through Stiles Machinery is supported by Stiles’ nationwide network of field service technicians, 24/7 in-house parts fulfillment department, and Stiles University, the industry’s only accredited training program.
