Introduction to Woodworking and Carpentry

The skills you learn in this class transfer between carpentry and fine woodworking projects. You will develop basic knowledge of wood materials, products for construction, framing, and safety as we cover techniques for measuring, layout, and the use of hand tools. After demonstrations, you will also use portable power tools including pneumatic nailers, miter saw, and drills. The class collectively develops goals to incorporate into the topical outline. Students will be required to bring their own safety glasses and dust masks.
