CSU: Interpretation & Scope
Many KCMA members that manufacture clothing storage units (CSUs) have inquired as to whether CPSC’s new mandatory safety standard applies to CSUs that are plainly intended to be affixed to the wall but have not yet been affixed. The answer is that the rule does apply to such CSUs.
This mandatory CSU rule takes effect on September 1, 2023.
