James Bray Joins Canlak Coatings as OEM Sales Director
James Bray has returned to the Wood Coatings Industry as OEM Sales Director for Canlak Coatings, after spending the last 1.5+ years with Richelieu. He previously spent 33 years supplying coatings to the Cabinet Industry. James will be responsible for accelerating growth in Canlak’s Industrial Coatings business, specifically in the cabinets segment.

Schattdecor Starts Up Hotmelt Adhesive Production in Lexington
LEXINGTON, SC - NOVEMBER 2024 - Schattdecor is excited to announce the startup of its Hotmelt Adhesive production line in Lexington, SC. The first roll of material with pre-applied Hotmelt came off the line on Thursday, November 14th.
This new production line significantly enhances Schattdecor's ability to serve its customers. The Lexington facility now provides both high-quality finished surfaces and the adhesive needed to apply them, offering customers a complete solution from a single source. Producing Hotmelt in-house gives Schattdecor greater control over its supply chain, ensuring timely delivery and consistent quality.

New Board at Schattdecor North America
Changes in the board of Schattdecor North America consolidate the growth of the leader in surfaces: With the announcement of Flavio Nunes’ return to Brazil, CEO since 2015, a new team of directors will assume management of the North American unit beginning October 14th, 2024.
The board, which will be shared between David Sheehan, CEO (Sales, Design, Marketing and Communications, Finance, Human Resources), and Matthias Geisler, CTO (Production and Engineering), is a response to the growth and consolidation of the company’s activities in North America.
In recent years, Schattdecor North America has expanded its production and product development capabilities. The new multidisciplinary management takes on the challenge of continuing the company’s growth strategy under the motto: “One Source. Unlimited Solutions.”
