KCMA's trade counsel, Luke Meisner, Schagrin Associates, provides an update on ongoing fair-trade issues, including:
- Anti-Evasion Efforts. Chinese producers are evading payment of AD/CVD duties. KCMA is actively litigating against Chinese manufacturers transshipping through Malaysia and Vietnam before landing on U.S. soil.
- Administrative Reviews. We are participating in Commerce’s second administrative reviews of the AD/CVD orders to ensure high dumping and subsidy rates.
- Court Appeals. Litigation of several appeals at the U.S. Court of International Trade to defend the AD/CVD duties from other legal attacks by the Chinese and U.S. importers.
- Policy Efforts. KCMA is working to strengthen our trade laws and ensure strict compliance by the administering agencies.
